Thirty Pikachu. One very full binder.

30th Celebration gives Pikachu an entire mini collection: 30 different illustrations, from a tiny figure at a doorway to a full electric action scene. They all say Pikachu, so the art and numbers are what make each one easy to tell apart.

This is the reveal and visual checklist. Want the opinions, disagreements and final tiers? Head to Ranking Every Pikachu.

Two numbers. Much less confusion.

Each regular 30th Celebration booster contains five foil cards, including one of these 30 Pikachu, plus one foil Basic Energy card. A Pikachu is guaranteed in the pack format; a particular design is not.

The small anniversary number identifies each design as Pikachu 1/30 through 30/30. Its expansion checklist number is different: these 30 cards occupy 023/128 through 052/128. For example, Door Pikachu is 17/30 in the Pikachu collection and 039/128 in the set.

The extra Pikachu ex cards, alternate versions and Classic Collection Pikachu are separate cards. They do not replace one of these 30. The gallery below keeps this specific group together.

We use our own nicknames to tell the designs apart. We pair them with both numbers so you can find the right card even when a seller only lists “Pikachu.”

We tried to pull the whole collection

We opened our way through an ETB and the smaller launch collections: ex boxes, a Poster Collection, smaller Eevee products and Tech Sticker Collections. The first Pikachu out was number 1. Pumpkin Spice Latte and Selfie were two of the most anticipated designs.

The final tally was 20 different Pikachu out of 30. Repeats appeared along the way, including back-to-back Staircase Pikachu from the same product. So much for our early theory that the packs might run in a neat sequence.

That is the useful lesson for a binder: a guaranteed Pikachu slot does not guarantee a new Pikachu for your collection. Track the gaps, enjoy the opening, and compare buying the missing singles with another round of random packs. One opening cannot establish the pull rates, but it can tell you when your binder is starting to fill with repeats.

A few faces you will remember

Selfie, 4/30: upside down and immediately recognizable. Pumpkin Spice Latte, 13/30: all autumn leaves and personality. Staircase, 14/30: the face-squish does the talking.

Door, 17/30: a whole place to get lost in. Agility, 22/30: more than one Pikachu and plenty of motion. Museum, 27/30: a portrait you might want framed. There is room here for quiet scenes, big action and very different illustration styles.

Build the collection your way

A binder checklist can make the chase much more satisfying: mark each design once, keep duplicates separate, and sleeve the ones you enjoy. You do not need a rare or expensive card to justify taking care of it.

If your goal is all 30, choose products for the guaranteed extras you want as well as the packs. An expensive box does not promise the exact Pikachu you are missing. Our 30th buying guide compares the product contents. The full set gallery covers the rest of the expansion.
