Pokémon GO adds transfer warnings and simpler Route rewards
Watch for the transfer warning, collect Route rewards at completion, and expect fewer overlapping objects on the map.

Before we dive in
Pokémon GO is a mobile game about finding and collecting Pokémon. Transferring a Pokémon removes it from your collection, so a warning can help players avoid accidentally giving up a Pokémon they wanted to keep.
IVs are a Pokémon’s underlying individual stats; maximum IVs mean all those stats are at their highest values. Routes are paths players follow in the game, and Zygarde Cells are a resource associated with completing them.
The update
Pokémon GO has rolled out several everyday usability changes. They affect transferring valuable Pokémon, collecting Zygarde Cells on Routes, and navigating the map.
The game now displays a warning when you try to transfer a Pokémon with maximum IVs. This adds a check before giving up a perfect-stat Pokémon. Zygarde Cells are now awarded for completing Routes instead of needing to be collected from the map.
The map also adjusts how its compass and weather information appear: the compass shows when you rotate or zoom, with weather displayed at other times. Map spacing has been changed to reduce overlapping objects and make Pokémon and Gyms easier to select.
