Pokémon Legends: Z-A starts a new ranked battle season
Legends: Z-A’s new ranked season allows one Restricted Legendary Pokémon and offers previous Mega Stones as rank rewards through October 29.
Before we dive in
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a Pokémon adventure set in Lumiose City, where players collect Pokémon and battle with them. Mega Evolution lets certain Pokémon temporarily take on a different form in battle.
Ranked battles are competitive matches organized into limited seasons. Players earn points and rewards under that season’s rules, so the permitted Pokémon and closing date matter when preparing a team.
The update
Pokémon Legends: Z-A has opened its next competitive season. Players can earn battle rewards under a ruleset that permits one Restricted Legendary Pokémon, with the season running through October 29.
Ranked Battle Season 18 allows all Pokémon, including one from the Restricted Legendary category. Players earn points through battles and work toward the season’s rewards. Check the eligible Pokémon before choosing a team.
The season ends on October 29 at 05:59 UTC. Players reaching ranks Y through S can receive Mega Stones previously offered through ranked battles. These are rewards tied to your rank, so participating and reaching the required rank are different goals.
